Mental Health Day Centre is a 30-day long outpatient treatment for opioid addiction. If requested, the patient is provided with a tapering regimen to prevent opioid withdrawal. The patient consults a psychiatrist, social worker, psychologist, ergotherapist and other specialists daily and participates in group and individual counselling activities for no less than 4 hours per day. The combination of medication and psychosocial support allows patients to analyse their feelings and learn more about positive change in behaviour, motivates them to continue treatment and helps to prevent relapse.
